What will my horse and I learn in an INTENSIVE?

First you learn to communicate by using herd language applying Four Core Emotional Concerns humans and horses share.

Next you will learn to use WHolistic Joining to invoke your horse's natural instinct to recognize you as his/her herd leader.  Your horse is genetically wired to require a herd leader within their herd of two, you and your horse.  As the herd leader your horse will place their welfare and trust in you giving you their whole mind and body.  You must maintain your herd leadership at all times never betraying that trust, but nurturing it with compassion, patience and consistency.

A full body assessment will be conducted as we identify any sources of pain and the relationship to behavior.  Discussions about wellness, nutrition, hoof care, supplements and wellbeing are incorporated throughout each session.

You and your Horse will learn the Three Foundational Requirements that develop your horse's understanding of their status and role within your herd of two which in turn provides a safer environment when you and your horse are together.

And finally you will learn the Five Fundamentals that Translate Under Saddle for Safer Riding no matter the discipline, style or breed all without the use of a bit and spurs.  Your horse becomes willingly responsive to your leadership while maintaining their character and spirit in tact.  Breaking a horse is not part of our vocabulary within Training the Whole Horse®

Honor - Trust - Respect
Are the key ingredients to a safer companionship
between you and your horse

Frank Bell presents Missy with Accreditation Award

As an accredited trainer and instructor of Frank Bell's 7 SSS I apply bonding, trust, intimacy, desensitizing and ground work that works for all horse types.  Once learned you and your horse are off riding, showing, jumping, racing better then you ever imagined.

Full Care

Your horse is provided with 24/7 access to a 100'+ paddock and 12 x 12 stall.  We have gates instead of sliders that look into the arena so your horse can visit and be part of the herd.   Since horses have small stomachs and large guts they need to have food consistently in their system.  That is why we feed horses in training four times a day.  The proportion of feed is based on the weight, breed, and metabolism of your horse.  There are no maximums on feed - all horses are fed to their individual needs.  We serve a variety of hay based on availability.  We prefer Eastern Oregon Meadow Grass Mix first cutting and as the supply dwindles into Fall we turn to a Timothy/Orchard mix and sometimes straight Timothy.  Our hay is top quality provided by CBI Feeds.
